  • Chronic Illness and Pain Group

Chicago Center for Behavioral Health is now accepting clients for our Chronic Illness and Pain group. Led by Kelly (a chronically ill therapist), this virtual group offers space to process the emotions, fears, and grief that often accompany a chronic diagnosis.

This group may be a good fit if you:
    - Live with a chronic illness, pain condition, or invisible disability
    - Struggle with feeling misunderstood or isolated
    - Are navigating identity shifts due to illness
    - Experience grief over changes in your body or life plans
    - Want a supportive, validating space with others who “get it”

  • SkillSpace: Executive Functioning Coaching

SkillSpace supports middle and high school students in building the skills they need for academic and personal success. Through weekly or biweekly 30-minute 1:1 sessions, students receive practical guidance in:

    - Planning and prioritizing tasks
    - Time management strategies
    - Organization systems
    - Emotional regulation skills
    - Real-time academic help and accountability

  • Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

I-CBT is a specialized approach for treating obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Unlike traditional CBT, it focuses less on challenging the content of intrusive thoughts and more on understanding how doubt takes root in the mind. This therapy helps you recognize when your imagination has taken over from reality, and teaches you to trust direct experience over “what if” thinking.

By targeting the reasoning process that fuels obsessions, I-CBT offers a compassionate, evidence-based pathway to break free from compulsions and reclaim confidence in your own judgment.
